CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
From Eugene to Yuba City the drive runs down Interstate 5 for most of its 445 miles, out of the Willamette Valley and over the Siskiyou Summit at the California border, then down through Yreka, past Mount Shasta and along the upper Sacramento River into Redding. Below Redding the valley opens up and we hold I-5 to the Highway 99 split, then follow 99 south through Chico and Gridley into the twin cities of Yuba City and Marysville on the Feather River. It is a longer run than the Chico leg, and we plan it as roughly seven-and-a-half to eight hours behind the wheel.
Murdock’s runs this route as an owner-operated carrier under our own USDOT and CPUC Cal-T authority, so there is no broker in the middle and no swapping your load onto a stranger's line-haul truck. The crew that pads, wraps, and loads your home in Eugene is the same crew that drives it south and carries it into your new place in the Yuba-Sutter area, with a flat-rate price agreed on up front so there are no surprises when the truck arrives.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, ag country where orchards of peaches, prunes, walnuts, and rice stretch out under the Sutter Buttes, often called the smallest mountain range in the world. It is a working agricultural community with a strong, family-oriented feel and a cost of living that stretches a paycheck much further than Sacramento or the Bay Area, which is a big part of why it draws people looking to buy a first home or move up into more square footage.
Newcomers tend to land in the newer master-planned neighborhoods on the west and north sides of Yuba City, in the established family streets near Gray Avenue and Butte House Road, or across the Feather River in Marysville, Linda, and Olivehurst. Beale Air Force Base sits just east of town, so the area has a steady flow of military families and defense-connected households, and the housing and services reflect that. For move day, this is straightforward suburban and semi-rural delivery: driveways, single-story homes, and room to get the truck close, which keeps the unload efficient.
The setting is quintessential Sacramento Valley farmland, flat and wide-open, with the Feather River and its levee trails running through town and the state capital only about 40 minutes south down Highway 99 when you want big-city amenities, an airport, or a Kings game. It offers the space and affordability of a small town while keeping Sacramento comfortably in reach.
