Moving in Oroville looks different from moving in Chico. Downtown Oroville and the streets around Montgomery and Myers still have older Gold Rush-era homes on narrow, sloped lots. Head east toward Kelly Ridge or up into the foothills near Forbestown Road and Cherokee, and you're dealing with gravel driveways, gated properties, and homes set well back from the road—sometimes a quarter mile of dirt or single-lane access before a truck can even reach the front door.
