CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
Nashville to Yuba City is a full cross-country move, and Murdock’s runs it on our own USDOT and CPUC authority from the first box to the last. Your household is loaded once in Middle Tennessee and stays on the same truck with the same crew all the way to the Yuba-Sutter area, with no warehouse swaps and no broker reselling your shipment down the line. We leave Nashville on I-24, join the I-70 corridor west across the Plains, then follow the I-80 mainline over the Rockies through Salt Lake City and across Nevada.
From Reno we climb over Donner Summit and drop into the Sacramento Valley, turning north to reach Yuba City after roughly 2,325 miles and 33 to 35 hours of driving. Because a single Murdock’s crew handles both the Nashville load and the Yuba City unload, the delivery window is realistic and your contact stays the same person start to finish. A haul this long typically settles into a five to seven day transit, and we lock in the pickup and delivery dates so both ends are planned.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits in the heart of Yuba-Sutter agricultural country, a pair of Sacramento Valley communities (with neighboring Marysville across the Feather River) surrounded by orchards, rice fields, and the distinctive Sutter Buttes rising out of the flat farmland. It is one of the more affordable places to land in Northern California, with a suburban, family-oriented feel, local parks, and decent public schools, which is a big part of why it draws newcomers looking for space and value rather than big-city bustle.
People moving here from Nashville are often families and military households: Beale Air Force Base sits just east of town, and Yuba City and Marysville are the main off-base communities for Air Force families stationed there. Newcomers spread across established neighborhoods like Gray Avenue and the Tierra Buena area, newer subdivisions on the north and west sides toward Sutter, and more rural parcels out toward the orchards for those who want land. Housing costs run well below Sacramento and a fraction of Bay Area prices, and Sacramento itself is only about 40 minutes south for big-city jobs, shopping, and the airport.
A Murdock’s delivery in Yuba City is carried in by the same crew that loaded your home in Nashville, whether we are unloading into a subdivision near the mall or a place out toward the buttes. As an owner-operated valley carrier, we know the Yuba-Sutter streets, the rural driveways, and the summer heat schedule that shapes a good move day here, and we place the heavy pieces and reassemble what we took apart before we finish.
