CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
The San Francisco to Yuba City move starts in the density of the city and finishes in open Sacramento Valley farm country. Murdock’s loads at your San Francisco address, takes I-80 East over the Bay Bridge and through the East Bay, crosses the Carquinez Strait and the Yolo Causeway into Sacramento, then heads north on CA-99 through Sutter County into Yuba City and Marysville. At about 140 miles it is a comfortable half-day drive, but the contrast between San Francisco loading conditions and a rural Yuba-Sutter delivery is exactly why using a real carrier beats a broker's roll of the dice.
Murdock’s is an owner-operated carrier, not a broker, so one crew and one truck handle the entire San Francisco to Yuba City run. The movers who pad-wrap your furniture in the city are the ones who set it down in your new place - no warehouse transfer, no re-handling, no mystery subcontractor. We run under our own USDOT 3421940, MC 1416634, and CPUC Cal-T 0192159 authority and own our trucks and equipment both directions, so your delivery date is one we control. Most moves on this corridor load and deliver within a day or two.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits at the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, an agricultural pocket of the Sacramento Valley known for peaches, prunes, walnuts, and rice - and for being one of the most affordable places to land within reasonable reach of both Sacramento and the Bay Area. For a household leaving San Francisco, the appeal is space and value: full-size homes with yards, garages, and room to breathe at prices that make the city feel like a different planet.
The move here usually means wider streets and easier truck access than a San Francisco block ever offered. Established neighborhoods around downtown Yuba City, the newer subdivisions spreading north and west, and the family pockets across the Feather River in Marysville and Linda all sit near Beale Air Force Base, which anchors a steady share of the local community. It is a genuinely family-oriented, small-city environment - Little League fields, the Sutter Buttes on the horizon, and the annual Punjabi and farm-community traditions that give the area its character.
Yuba City works especially well for remote workers and for anyone whose budget went further than expected: you keep an easy hour-plus drive to Sacramento for work, flights, or city amenities, while paying valley prices and gaining the kind of square footage a San Francisco salary never quite reached at home.
