CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
The run from Spokane to Sacramento leaves the Inland Northwest on I-90 and US-395, drops south through the Blue Mountains near Pendleton, and joins I-84 west along the Columbia River. From there it follows the Gorge past The Dalles and Hood River, swings past Portland, and settles onto I-5 for the long southbound stretch through the Willamette Valley, over the Siskiyou Summit at the state line, and down past Mount Shasta and Redding into the Sacramento Valley. It's roughly 735 miles and about 11.5 to 12.5 hours of driving.
Murdock’s handles this move on our own DOT and CPUC authority with a single crew and a single truck the whole way. The movers who load your home in Spokane are the same ones who unload it in Sacramento, so there's no cross-docking, no linehaul handoff, and no reloading at a terminal in between. We factor the Blue Mountain and Siskiyou grades and the Gorge winds into the schedule and give you a firm flat rate before we leave, so your delivery-day number matches your quote.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Sacramento is California's state capital and the hub of the Greater Sacramento region, a real city with a midtown grid of tree-shaded streets, a growing downtown around the Golden 1 Center, and the American and Sacramento Rivers meeting right at its edge. For someone relocating from Spokane, it's a genuine step up in scale: a deeper job market, an international airport, and big-city amenities, but with more housing value than the Bay Area an hour and a half to the southwest.
Transplants tend to land in the historic, walkable neighborhoods of Midtown and East Sacramento, the leafy family enclaves of Land Park and Curtis Park, or the newer master-planned suburbs out in Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, and Natomas. Because Sacramento spans everything from downtown lofts to sprawling suburban subdivisions, a move here can mean an apartment with elevator access and dock scheduling or a single-family home with a driveway, and our crews plan the delivery accordingly.
The city has become a landing spot for people priced out of the Bay Area, which has fed its restaurant scene, its Farm-to-Fork food culture, and a steady flow of remote and state-government workers. Beyond the capitol, employment runs deep in healthcare, education, and tech, and the location is hard to beat: Lake Tahoe and the Sierra are about two hours east, San Francisco and Napa a similar distance west, and the Delta and rivers are right in the backyard for boating and cycling.
