CORRIDOR NOTES
Distances and drive times are planning estimates. Exact access, timing and delivery details are confirmed for each address before the move.
San Antonio to Yuba City is a long westbound haul of roughly 1,790 miles and 26 to 27 hours of drive time. From San Antonio our crew heads out on I-10 West through the Hill Country and across West Texas past Fort Stockton and El Paso, then on through southern New Mexico and Arizona by Tucson and Phoenix. Reaching California, we turn north up the Central Valley on I-5, pass through Sacramento, and finish on CA-99 into the Yuba-Sutter area and Yuba City.
Murdock’s Moving & Storage is an owner-operated carrier rather than a broker, so the same truck and crew that load your home in San Antonio carry it the entire way and unload it in Yuba City. Your belongings are never reloaded onto a shared trailer or shuffled through a warehouse hub along the way. Operating on our own authority (USDOT 3421940, MC 1416634, CPUC Cal-T 0192159), we give you one flat-rate quote, a single dedicated crew, and a realistic three-to-five-day delivery window on a run this long.

DESTINATION BRIEF
Yuba City sits in the heart of the Yuba-Sutter region, the agricultural country of the northern Sacramento Valley where orchards, rice fields, and the Sutter Buttes define the landscape. It is a distinctly different landing spot than the big-city California most people picture: a working farm-town economy, a strong Sikh and Punjabi farming community, and a pace and affordability that feel a world away from the coast. For a family leaving San Antonio, the draw is space and value the housing dollar goes considerably further here than almost anywhere else within reach of Sacramento.
Most newcomers settle into family-oriented subdivisions in Yuba City proper or across the Feather River in neighboring Marysville and the Plumas Lake area. Beale Air Force Base sits just to the east, so the region also draws military families and the services that support them. This is largely single-family, suburban terrain wide streets, driveways, and garages which makes for clean, efficient unloads for our crew.
The trade-off people make coming here is a quieter, more rural rhythm in exchange for affordability and elbow room, with Sacramento's jobs and amenities only about 40 miles south on CA-99. Add easy weekend access to the Sutter Buttes, the Feather River, and the Sierra beyond, and Yuba City becomes an appealing base for households who want valley affordability without giving up Northern California's outdoors.
